Question: What is automobile detailing and what is actually done to my vehicle?
ANSWER: Detailing is the process of restoring the painted surfaces of your automobile or other vehicle to a “like new” condition, subject to the age and wear and tear of your vehicle. Detailing also means cleaning and protecting the interior surfaces of your vehicle, including carpets, mats, seats, dashboard, console, doorjambs and trunk. We clean and condition your vehicle's leather upholstery with our special formula to help keep it soft and protected. Your car's paint is polished and then waxed with super glaze liquid wax to bring back the new car luster. We pay meticulous attention to your vehicle's chrome, wheels, tires and trim to make them spotless and sparkling.
Question: Why has detailing become so popular?
ANSWER: These days, it's difficult to purchase any new car of value for under $20,000 and many models sell between $40,000 and $60,000. At these prices, your car should be perceived as an investment to be maintained and guarded from value deterioration. A vehicle that has been cosmetically preserved is often worth thousands of dollars more than one that has not.
Question: How often should I have my car detailed?
ANSWER: Detailing frequency is generally determined by (1) the climate, (2) your car's exterior color, and (3) how often you wash the vehicle. We recommend that you have your car fully detailed a minimum of three times per year for adequate maintenance. Some darker colored cars should be detailed more often.
Question: I own a brand new car and it's perfect. Why should I want to have it detailed now?
ANSWER: Car dealerships rarely wax new cars, and we've never heard of one that specially treats and protects leather interiors. Performing both of these procedures is important in steering your new vehicle in the right direction. This is why The Mobile Wash is the very first stop for many of our customer's new cars.
